It's no secret that I love to shoot photographs. I picked up my first 35mm camera (an aperture-priority nikon) in my late teens on my first trip to France, and later developed my eye while living in Paris, spending every penny won on the horse races (and there were many!) on film and processing. Since then I've traveled as often and as far as possible. This site allows me to upload easily -- so I finally get to show lots of images that never made it to my "official" photo web site (http://www.jgreymatters.com). Believe it or not, I've edited a lot but there are still several similar images since I can't always tell which is better, and prefer to leave it up to the viewer. Also, it's important to note that I don't believe in using photoshop to manipulate images. I somehow feel like it's cheating. AND I'm not looking for excuses, but it was determined upon my return from Asia that my new camera wasn't really working properly there so I'm happy to have gotten what I did, despite the fact that they're not as sharp as I'd like.
